Christ Church Conference/Vacation…
I’m heading to Nashville on Wednesday morning for the Christ Church Music & Worship Conference. After the conference, I will be on vacation. So, this email contains information you will need for the next 2 Sundays. I will be back on Sunday, July 26th.

Announcements…

THE HOPPERS IN CONCERT…
On Thursday, July 30th at 7:00p.m., Parkway Baptist Church is hosting THE HOPPERS in concert. Admission is $10 and proceeds will go to benefit Bluegrass Christian Academy. A mass choir made up of Parkway and FBC Mt. Washington Choir members will sing ‘backup’ on several songs. If you would like to sing in the mass choir, plan to attend a special rehearsal on Wednesday, July 29th at 7:00p.m. in the Worship Center. Mass Choir Members will get free admission to the concert, but your family or friends not singing will need a ticket. Click here to purchase tickets online, or you can get them at the church office.

VOCAL TEAM AUDITIONS…
On Sunday, August 2nd at 6:00p.m., all returning Vocal Team Members will be meeting for auditions. Current Vocal Teams will be auditioned together as an ensemble. Be prepared to sing “Alive Forever Amen” or “Hosanna”, and “Amazed” or “Revelation Song” from the new Baptist Hymnal. You’re team will sing one upbeat and one slow song, and will be singing with the track.

On Sunday, August 2nd at 7:00p.m., we will be auditioning any prospective “new” Vocal Team Members. New members will be asked to sing one of the songs listed above AND one worship song of your own choosing. Vocal Team members must be active Worship Choir Members. The audition will consist of a questionnaire and voice assessment that will aid our selection team in placing members on a team. We currently have four teams that lead worship on Sundays at 8:15a.m. Vocal Team members are also asked to lead special services as needed.

Audition Packets are available in the Choir Room.

WORSHIP CHOIR & BAND…
Our Fall Kick-off Banquet will be on Wednesday, August 5th at 6:00p.m. We will begin with dinner (which is provided), followed by a short meeting and rehearsal.

On Wednesday, August 12th we will begin our new rehearsal schedule. Worship Choir will meet in the Choir Room at 7:15p.m. Worship Band will meet in the Worship Center at 7:15p.m. (or immediately following Wednesday Worship). The Choir will join the Worship Band in the Worship Center around 7:45p.m.

Please pray about joining our Worship Choir or Band this fall!

MEDIA MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED…
It’s time to start praying about serving in one of our Media Ministries. We need a few additional lighting, video and television technicians for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. If you can navigate Facebook, you can help! If you would like to volunteer, please sign up at one of the Get Connected Booths.

NIGHT OF WORSHIP…
Sunday evening, September 13th at 6:00p.m. We will worship to music led by the Parkway Worship Team, celebrate communion together, hear powerful testimony and wonderful message. Mark your calendars. More details will be announced on August 5th at the Banquet!
