IMPORTANT BEREA CONCERT CHOIR DETAILS…
Thanks to all of you who are hosting students in your homes. All students have a place to stay. They will greatly appreciate your hospitality!

Here is their schedule for the weekend:

Saturday, September 27
10:00-10:30 AM - arrival at Parkway Baptist
10:30 AM-NOON - 1st rehearsal in choir room
NOON-1:00 PM – LUNCH*
1:00-2:30 PM - 2nd rehearsal in choir room
2:30-3:00 PM - afternoon snack break
3:00-4:00 PM – 3rd rehearsal in choir room
4:00-6:00 PM - recreational time
6:00-7:00 PM – SUPPER*
6:00-7:00 PM – Parkway Worship Band Rehearsal**
7:00-7:30 PM – “dress” rehearsal for Sunday morning services in sanctuary with Parkway Worship Band**
7:30-9:30 PM - orientation and group socialization activities
9:30 PM - meet hosts and go to homes for the evening***

Sunday, September 28
Breakfast in hosts’ homes***
7:45 AM - choir arrives at church for warm-ups***
8:15 AM - choir sings at 1st Worship Service
9:15-10:15 AM – Sunday School or hang out in lobby areas
10:45 AM - choir sings at 2nd Worship Service
NOON – POT-LUCK LUNCH****
1:00 PM - choir departs for Berea

* LUNCH & SUPPER - If you can help with lunch and/or supper, please let me know. They will have lunch on Saturday, September 27th at 12:00 noon, and supper at 6:00p.m. They are providing everything for themselves, but it would be nice for us to have some of our folks on hand to help.

** WORSHIP BAND & CHOIR RHEARSAL - Our Worship Band is playing on two of their songs and they have asked for as many of our Worship Band that can attend the Saturday evening rehearsal. On Saturday, September 27th, our Rhythm Section will meet at 6:00p.m. to rehearse “Do It Lord”. The horns, winds and strings will join us at 6:30p.m. to rehearse “To Him Who Sits On The Throne”. The Berea Concert Choir will join us at 7:00p.m. to run through the songs. We should be done by 7:30p.m. Keith Mackin will be there to run sound during this rehearsal.

*** HOST HOMES - If you are hosting a student in your home, please be at the church by 9:30p.m. on Saturday evening to pick them up. You will need to provide them with a place to sleep, a light breakfast on Sunday morning, and transportation back to the church by 7:45a.m. on Sunday morning. Leslie is calling all hosts to confirm this information. Please let her know if any your students will need to provide their own sleeping bag or pillow.

**** SUNDAY POT-LUCK LUNCH - We will provide a pot-luck lunch for them following the Sunday morning services. The church will provide Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken and Biscuits. If you can bring a dish or two, please do so.

VOCAL TEAM TRAINING… We took a week off last Sunday, but we will be continuing our Vocal Team Training with Paul Baloche’s video on Sunday evening. This weeks video starts out addressing the use (and misuse) of vibrato. The BLUE and ORANGE Vocal Teams should plan to stay for a few minutes following rehearsal to discuss the upcoming services.

WORSHIP MINISTRY RETREAT… Our Fall Retreat is set for Saturday, November 1st. We will spend the day focusing on “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, but will have other fun things in store, too. Sign up in the Choir Room if you plan to attend and mark your calendar!!!

DRAMA MINISTRY… The Parkway Drama Ministry is meeting on Wednesdays at 6:00p.m. in Room W-106. Our Drama Team shares in our Sunday Morning Worship Service two or three times a month. If you are interested in participating in our Drama Ministry, plan to attend our next meeting!
