VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR NATIONAL QUARTET CONVENTION… Clarke Beasley is asking for volunteers to help at the National Quartet Convention on Monday, September 8th and Thursday, September 11th from 3:30-6:30p.m. Volunteers will get all access credentials for the week. If you can help, please contact me or you can contact Clarke at clarke@natqc.com. Please respond ASAP!

BEREA CONCERT CHOIR AT PARKWAY… The Concert Choir from Berea College will be holding a retreat and singing in our Sunday morning services on the weekend of September 27th-28th. We are excited to be chosen as the host church for this group. We will need several host homes to provide a place to sleep on Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday morning. We will also provide a pot-luck lunch for them following the Sunday morning services. More details will be coming, so watch for them!!!

SERVICE ORDER SWAP… I have had to shift the service orders around to accommodate some changes Bro. Eddie made to the preaching schedule. Music originally schedule for August 31st is being moved to September 14th. September 7th had been moved to August 31st and what was originally scheduled on September 14th is now on the 7th. Now that I have completely confused you… J … The following links will take you to the new service sheets. New sheet will also be available in the Choir Room. Please look them over and make sure you have the right music for the Sunday you are scheduled to lead worship.

THANKS…
Thanks to everyone who attended the Worship Ministry Banquet on Wednesday evening. We had a great time. I am very excited about the coming year and I hope you are too.

WORSHIP CHOIR & BAND…
Our Worship Choir will be back in the Choir Loft on Sundays beginning August 10th. Sunday evening, August 10th, we resume our regular Sunday Choir & Band rehearsal schedule - Band at 4:30p.m. / Choir at 5:00p.m. Remember our discussion Wednesday evening about being prompt and prepared! We will be doing some vocal blending with the Worship Choir after rehearsal for the first couple of weeks, so plan to attend!!!

ANNOUNCEMENTS…
WORSHIP MINISTRY BANQUET... Our Fall Banquet will kick-off an new season for the Parkway Worship Ministry. Start praying about your commitment to the Choir, Band and Media Ministries over the next couple of weeks. Then plan to attend our Banquet on Wednesday, August 6th at 6:00p.m. Information will be shared about plans for the coming year, including our Christmas Musical, Easter Pageant and Good Friday Service. Please have your music ready for August 10th, as we will have a quick rehearsal after the banquet.

WORSHIP CHOIR & BAND… Our Worship Choir will be back in the Choir Loft on Sundays beginning August 10th. That evening we resume our regular Sunday Choir & Band rehearsal schedule. We will be doing some vocal blending with the Worship Choir after rehearsal for the first couple of weeks, so plan to attend!!!

SUPER SATURDAY EVENT… The Kentucky Baptist Convention SUPER SATURDAY ’08 event is on Saturday, August 23rd at St. Matthews Baptist Church. There are several sessions for church musicians and worship leaders at this year’s conference. For a complete listing of what is being offered, please visit www.kybaptist.org/supersaturday. Sign up to attend at the Get Connected Booths or in the Choir Room. Sign up deadline is August 17th.

PARKWAY SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS…
We plan to launch the Parkway School of Fine Arts in August 2008 and we are looking for willing instructors to teach. We will be offering private and group lessons in piano, voice, stings, wind instruments, percussion, drama and other arts as instructors become available. Our goal is to offer faith-based education that not only impacts the talents of the performer but also the spiritual wellbeing of the student.
