BEREA CONCERT CHOIR AT PARKWAY…
The Concert Choir from Berea College will be holding a retreat and singing in our Sunday morning services on the weekend of September 27th-28th. We are excited to be chosen as the host church for this group. We will need several host homes to provide a place to sleep on Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday morning. We will also provide a pot-luck lunch for them following the Sunday morning services. More details will be coming, so watch for them!!!

THANKS…
Thanks to everyone who attended the Worship Ministry Banquet on Wednesday evening. We had a great time. I am very excited about the coming year and I hope you are too.
WORSHIP CHOIR & BAND…
Our Worship Choir will be back in the Choir Loft on Sundays beginning August 10th. Sunday evening, August 10th, we resume our regular Sunday Choir & Band rehearsal schedule - Band at 4:30p.m. / Choir at 5:00p.m. Remember our discussion Wednesday evening about being prompt and prepared! We will be doing some vocal blending with the Worship Choir after rehearsal for the first couple of weeks, so plan to attend!!!

Our Fall Banquet will kick-off an new season for the Parkway Worship Ministry. Start praying about your commitment to the Choir, Band and Media Ministries over the next couple of weeks. Then plan to attend our Banquet on Wednesday, August 6th at 6:00p.m. Information will be shared about plans for the coming year, including our Christmas Musical, Easter Pageant and Good Friday Service. Please have your music ready for August 10th, as we will have a quick rehearsal after the banquet.
WORSHIP CHOIR & BAND…
Our Worship Choir will be back in the Choir Loft on Sundays beginning August 10th. That evening we resume our regular Sunday Choir & Band rehearsal schedule. We will be doing some vocal blending with the Worship Choir after rehearsal for the first couple of weeks, so plan to attend!!!
SUPER SATURDAY EVENT…
The Kentucky Baptist Convention SUPER SATURDAY ’08 event is on Saturday, August 23rd at St. Matthews Baptist Church. There are several sessions for church musicians and worship leaders at this year’s conference. For a complete listing of what is being offered, please visit www.kybaptist.org/supersaturday. We plan to launch the Parkway School of Fine Arts in August 2008 and we are looking for willing instructors to teach. We will be offering private and group lessons in piano, voice, stings, wind instruments, percussion, drama and other arts as instructors become available. Our goal is to offer faith-based education that not only impacts the talents of the performer but also the spiritual wellbeing of the student. If you are interested, please contact Jeff Lutz at 502-348-4677. Student information packets should be available next week.

Please remember your audition time if you signed up for this Saturday, July 12th! If you are on the selection committee, please plan to be at the church by 9:45a.m. for a brief meeting. If you are auditioning, don’t forget to bring your completed audition form with you. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can make copies of your form for the selection committee. If you can not make it to Saturday’s auditions, there will be a make-up audition date at the end of July. I’ll announce the exact date and time on Sunday.

ANNOUNCEMENTS… PARKWAY SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS…
We plan to launch the Parkway School of Fine Arts in August 2008 and we are looking for willing instructors to teach. We will be offering private and group lessons in piano, voice, stings, wind instruments, percussion, drama and other arts as instructors become available. Our goal is to offer faith-based education that not only impacts the talents of the performer but also the spiritual wellbeing of the student. If you are interested, please contact Jeff Lutz at 502-348-4677. Student information packets should be available on Sunday.

Please remember that the Worship Choir and Band will be leading at BOTH morning services on Sunday, July 6th! We will meet at 7:45a.m. to run the “Battle Hymn”, ”America” and “Let Freedom Ring.” If time permits, we will also run the “America the Beautiful” medley. PLEASE BE ON TIME!

VOCAL TEAM AUDITIONS...
Vocal Team auditions for the 2008-09 season will be held on July 12th from 10:00am – 12:00noon. The audition packets and sign-up sheet are in the Music Suite.
REVIVAL INVITATION…
Our Worship Choir will be singing in a Revival on Sunday evening, July 13th at 7:00p.m., at Gravel Switch Baptist Church. We will be singing “You Are Good”, “He Leadeth Me”, “Breathe on Me”, and “Lord, You’re Holy” with tracks. We will meet at Parkway on July 13th at 5:00pm for a quick rehearsal, then carpool to the church. If you are planning to meet us there, please see me for directions. Please sign up in the choir room if you can go.
